These scholarships are available to local students.  Please contact each organization for scholarship information.

ASPIRA - Any student of Hispanic heritage who has been accepted or is waiting to be accepted at a higher learning insitution may obtain an application from the SHS guidance office.

Bay State Games Future Leaders Scholarship - Awards six $2,000 college scholarships to Bay State Games participants, and aims to identify young men and women who will be tomorrow's leaders. Open to high school Juniors who are Massachusetts residents.

Big Y - Big Y® Scholarships are available to High School Seniors, Undergraduates, Graduates, Community College and Non-Traditional Students. All Big Y customers and their dependents in the Big Y Market Area and Big Y employees and their dependents, regardless of residence, are eligible. Applications can be obtained in stores from early October through January of each year, with an application deadline of February 1st.

Bill Mastro Memorial Scholarship (Gateway Players) - All college bound seniors, active in Gateway Players may apply for this $500 scholarship.  The scholarship is awarded as a way of encouraging the arts among our youth and rewarding Gateway youth members for their hard work and support.  Applications forms are available at the Gateway Barn, and the submission deadline is April 1. The Cornerstone Bank Scholarship - Cornerstone Bank will award sixteen $2,000 scholarships to students throughout the community who best demonstrate achievement and high standards in academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. The recipients will also best demonstrate how the study of business or finance relates to their career goals. Applications must be submitted or postmarked to Cornerstone Bank by April 13, 2020. 

CMS Chamber Scholarships - The Central MA South Chamber of Commerce typically awards 3 $1,000 scholarships each year. Students who are attending school or living in the Chamber's service area with a GPA of of 3.0 or above are eligible.

Exchange Club of Tri-Community – A.C.E. Award 

Greater Worcester Community Foundation Grants & Scholarships - Awards many scholarships to local students to attend college. Students who submit the completed application by the due date will be considered for more than 110 separate awards ranging from $250 to $5,000. Students may be selected for more than one award. Harrington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship –Awarded since 1959 to students planning a career in health care. The scholarship application forms are available in the guidance offices of all area schools as well as in the Volunteer office of Harrington Hospital, and must be returned to your guidance representative.

John J. Hart Memorial Scholarship - Provides scholarships to students from Southbridge, Sturbridge, Charlton and Dudley, who will attend a college or university with a major pertaining to public safety and/or public health.

Olson/Fournier Memorial Nursing Scholarship - Each year the committee awards a scholarship to a nursing student from the area served by Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. The mission of the scholarship is to support the education of a bilingual student currently enrolled in or accepted to a nursing program. Rotary Club of Southbridge RYLA Scholarship – Supports a three-day leadership-training seminar at Nichols College, Dudley.

Southbridge Commission on Disability - Offers a $500 scholarship to students that either have a disability, or have a parent or family member that is disabled, or who is entering an institution of higher learning that will lead them into a career in working with people with disabilities.

Southbridge Credit Union - Scholarships are available for Southbridge High, Tantasqua, Shepherd Hill, and Bay Path students.  Forms and information are available at school guidance offices.

Southbridge Garden Club - Open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who will be attending accredited colleges and universities and majoring in horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, conservation, forestry, agronomy, environmental studies, land management,  botany, biology or other allied subjects. Students must be Massacusetts residents, have a minimum B average, good character, and financial need. Two scholarships will be awarded. Applications are available at local high school guidance offices or may be requested by writing to the Darlene Kulesza, 52 Lebanon Hill, Southbridge.

Southbridge Italian Club - The Southbridge Italian Club with Scott Garieri and Family offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving young student at one of our local high schools, in memory of Nicolas James Garieri. Applications will be available at the school guidance office.

Southbridge Lions Club - The Dr. George E. Causaubon Memorial Scholarship will award a minimum of two $1,000 scholarships to Southbridge residents that will graduate high school this spring. See school guidance offices or any Lions Club member for applications.

Southbridge Little League Scholarship - The Southbridge Little League Board of Directors is offering two scholarships for two graduating seniors. The Margret Schwall Memorial Scholarship for $500 and the Jordan Blair Memorial Scholarship for $500. Open to seniors residing in Southbridge and graduating from a high school in 2017. Applicant must have participated in Southbridge Little League for one season. Applicant must also be planning to attend an accredited college or university. 

Southbridge Optimist Club – One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded. Applicants must be Southbridge residents graduating this year. Applications can be otained at the SHS Guidance office, or by contacting Scholarship Chairperson Michael Guillet at 508-765-5700.

Southbridge Police Association - Available to Southbridge residents - preference will be given to applicants who are enrolling in a Criminal Justice/Law degree program.  Applicants must complete an application, an essay on the topic of "Community Policing," and provide a college resume, copy of high school transcripts and college acceptance, and personal recommendations.

Southbridge Woman’s Club – Awards a scholarship to a graduate resident of Southbridge, Sturbridge or Charlton.
