Formation of Southbridge
According to A Guide to Massachusetts Local History compiled by Charles A. Flagg Salem Press 1907 "Parts of Charlton, Sturbridge and Dudley made a separate parish as 2nd parish of Charlton 1801; town 1816. Annex: part of Dudley, 1822; part of Sturbridge 1839."
